Jodie Foster on acting commitment

I’d really like to do something where I had to learn something hard. Like, learn to be a violinist. Or to be an Olympic athlete. Or speak Polish. I’d like to commit six months to really living in the world of something obsessively. I don’t know why I want to do that but I do. I’d like to just learn something.” (Jodie Foster)

Colin Farrell on acting the absurd

"I did go, “How the f–k do you say this s–t and be in these situations and have them be normal and not absurd?” But I had a bit of that with In Bruges as well. It was such extreme stuff and you’re going, “How do you inhabit this and make it seem like it’s run-of-the-mill or natural?” But it just ends up happening." (about the acting in "The Lobster")

Costume apocalypse, now!

According to Costume Designer Kelli Jones, "the [STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON] script was literally changing the entire time we were shooting, I mean literally the entire time. There would be days where I would get a call on Friday and they were like 'oh by the way we've moved the pool party scene to Monday' and the pool party scene had like 400 people and I needed to get 80s bathing suits, so there wasn't a single weekend where me and my team were not working. It was insane!"

Long live the Hunger !

Tony Robbins' sage opinion

"(...) you must give an account of yourself, provide a ledger of what you have been, and done, and meant to the world (...)"

gently warns Paul Kalanithi

Listen to your 80-year-old self...

advices Susan O'Malley

”You need someone with the guts to tell you that when you think you’re doing enough, you’re not doing enough...

”...You could be working harder. And remember that nobody owes you anything. If you can just remember that, then you’ll never take anything for granted, and you never stop working.” (Jerry Zaks)

"You've got to look out for yourself."

...reminds Robert Herjavec.

”...and nothing but praise NOW...”

Craig Ferguson dixit

”Does this NEED to be said... by ME... right NOW?”

Seneca dixit

”You live as if you were destined to live forever (...). You squander time as if you drew from a full and abundant supply, though all the while that day which you bestow on some person or thing is perhaps your last. You have all the fears of mortals and all the desires of immortals”
